DRAM Memory

DRAMs (Dynamic Random Access Memories) appeared during the early 1970s and quickly replaced the then predominant Core Memory RAMs. Intel produced the first commercial DRAM in 1970, the Intel 1103. This technology is still the basis of computer RAM nowadays, including the latest DDR5 SDRAM.

The PM DRAM (Page Mode) and FPM DRAM (Fast Page Mode) were direct improvements to the original DRAM.
