Manifesto

The World is not what it should be, and we want to do something about that, within our abilities and means. The Stelo.xyz Staff maintains the present Manifesto, that aims to clarify our aspirations and some of our Projects, as well as derive and establish guidelines for our Community. The Manifesto is a work in progress that will regularly be updated to reflect our current directions as we learn from our experiences with our Projects and Community as well as personal research and development, or simply to clarify or complete it, in particular as we advance in our Projects.

General Ideas

Generally, we are inspired by some Ideas from Kant's Philosophy, the Lumières, and Esperantists as we aspire for a World of reason, harmony and free from arbitrary barriers, hate, and all other vices. We deplore the fact that despite the amazing technological progress that could since long provide more than enough resources for everyone's well being, suffering and pressure is still the standard for a great part of the population, and is driven and enslaved by a system favoring greed, competition and division, over altruism, cooperation, and unity.

We are assumed Idealists and are sincere in our intentions. We truly want to make the World better and are convinced that it is possible to build an ideal World for every living being that will exist. We want to deconstruct the idea that utopias cannot be real.

Unity

We aspire for an united and cohesive Society and aim to build a Community representative of such Society. We count on our Members to behave toward one another and the Community as a whole with high standards of respect and benevolence, putting aside irrelevant differences. We will not tolerate any kind of conflict, two or more people who cannot get along means that at least one of them is not fit to be part of our Community and has to leave.

Like Esperantists and in particular the Creators of the Spesmilo and Stelo World Currencies, we think that the World would be much better off without arbitrary barriers such as geographical borders, and with a common practical Language and Currency. These would be prerequisites to a truly united Society and we are working on constructing them.

Focus on the Foundations

We want to directly fix the problems themselves and for good, not merely patch their consequences or symptoms. For example, instead of spending resources on establishing spam blacklists, we would construct a place in which spammers simply cannot exist, or are adequately taken care of. We want a place without time wasting ads rather than a one where everyone should use Adblockers.

We loathe those who profit of others' wrongdoings without sincere intention to solve the problems themselves.

Education

The World needs a novel and much more efficient Education System that firstly allows everyone to discover and exploit their full potential in the best conditions, rather than enforcing arbitrary curriculums at places with misaligned incentives and many other issues. Secondly, the Society we aspire for shall ensure its Members to be enlightened enough to master current technologies and to remain incorruptible so that no bad seed can ever grow again. It will be one of our goals to provide high quality educational resources.

No Leeway on Facts

There are a lot of things that are yet to be discovered or confirmed, and it is natural to debate or even speculate on these. However, established facts are non negotiable. Those trying to dispute them such as flat earthers, climate deniers, anti vaxxers, or other conspirators have no place in a rational Society and consequently our Community.

Projects

Riecoin

We have discovered Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies many years ago and quickly appreciated how one can transfer money to anyone in such a straighforward way, without unecessary delays and independently of arbitrary barriers and restrictions.

Unfortunately, the space has quickly been corrupted by the vices of the current society as the "crypto bros" are only interested in profitability and hype with no interest in making the World better, and worse as they would promote low quality and even harmful projects for their selfish ends. To our dismay, the space is filled with people creating every day yet more slop currencies and dividing further the World.

We have found and took over the Riecoin Project which was abandoned but is technically the closest to our ideals, and we are maintaining and improving the Currency, also distancing ourselves from the toxic cryptosphere. Riecoin is our Community's Official Currency and a great candidate to be the World Common Currency we have mentioned earlier.

For obvious reasons, we are Maximalists and only support our Currency, though we respect Bitcoin as the originator of Cryptocurrencies including Riecoin, and naturally pay homage to the Spesmilo and Stelo. Ultimately, services such as currency exchangers are aberrations that should not exist as we would not have to bother with artificial conversions in an Ideal World.

Operating System

We are working on an Operating System that is not yet properly published. It will for practical reasons take the form of a Linux Distribution, at least initially.

The Operating System will be designed in accordance with our aspirations.

More information will be revealed in good time.

Universal Language

Esperanto is a Language constructed by a person who sincerely wanted to make the World better, and designed to be practical and efficient to learn. Unfortunately, the interest in improving the World with a Common Language has generally been lost and Esperanto was pretty much relegated to a mere entertainment Language. It comes from another time anyway and we think that a new Language should be constructed taking in account the technological advances, and that also goes farther than Esperanto in building a better World.

We have not yet started developing our Language, but generally, the Language should not only be straightforward to learn and free from natural langage's quirks, but also suited to a World of reason with emphasis placed on logic, precision, consistency and formal concepts. The Language may be inspired by Mathematical Notation and should be adaptable to computing applications as straightforwardly as possible (for example, we should be able derive a powerful general purpose Programming Language that would be straightforward to learn and master by anyone speaking the Language).

A well designed Language will dramatically enhance Education as children do not waste billions of hours to learn confusing details of flawed languages, and concepts from many fields can be more naturally and properly grasped as they are directly factored into the Language.

Entertainment

We wish to build a Community of passionate and sincere Artists and Fans who are supporting our aspirations and helping us to forge our Identity and Culture, and whose Works come from the bottom of the heart and not to please others or algorithms. There are plans to make a platform where Artists from our Community can publish their Works, and places to gather fellow Fans of existing Works and produce high quality documentation of these Works. Moeverse is our first such Project.
